Aeda is an island nation, probably about the size of australia and also very naturalistic in many areas, believing in preservation of nature? Magical hub of the world Home of the governing mage bodies ie he mage council as well as the base school of magic primarily operated by tech with magical twists or largely by magic in some places. home of a defunct dragon hunting group of mages. they now operate as a paramilitary mage gropu who moonlight as mercs, ready to combat the dragons or anything that opposes the existence of magic or the human race. this group used to run the school which taught dragon hunting, now uses the schools as bases. other cities

Kavesdra
"If it bleeds, we can kill it"
The monarchy of Kavesdra stands as the global leader in technological and military advances, and is the second largest nation in the world. Lead by their powerful matriarch, Kavesdra was the first nation to be established after the Cataclysm, and as such sees itself as the largest world power. Conservative by nature, Kavesdra has become self sufficient and rarely has need for trade or outside contact with the other nations, and as such has developed an intolerance for outsiders or more specifically 'Deviants'. The people of Kavesdra are proud and relatively wealthy, enjoying the finest comforts due to their nations technological might. The pride and joy of Kavesdra remains to be their mighty army and fleet of Airships. Kavesdra has a tentative peace with Cerise, and a treaty with Aeda.
Capital City :
Erin
Government :
Monarchy - Lead by the Queen and passed on to the eldest daughter with each generation.
Geography :
Major cities in mountainous regions, heavily protected by series of valleys and mountain ranges making it near impossible to penetrate with normal armies.
Military:
Dominated by airships, heavily reliant on air strikes and blitz/surprise based assaults. Spring loaded guns are standard issue for troops; dedicated mainly to defending the nations boarders against raids from bandits, mutants and other enemies. During rare times of war there is a mandatory draft on all men above the age of 18 who are not in a field of applied science.
Tolerance towards Deviants: In general deviants are forbidden within any territory controlled by Kavesdra without the proper papers. Deviants are looked down upon both by the government and the public, and anti-deviant propaganda can often be found circulating. Even documented deviants are only allowed to take the lowest vocational jobs, and maybe mistreated or even murdered without any reprocussions to the offender, save for a few instances.
Attitude towards Magic
Most sorcerers in Kavesdra are geared towards offense fighting or supporting the military. Due to their treaty with Aeda, there are many institutions governed by the Aeda within major cities dedicated to teaching genres of magic that can be used to aid the Kavesdra military. However ut is not uncommon for young adepts to be sent to Aeda for serious in-depth education in the arts, before being brought back and drafted into the army.
Climate, Weather and other Information
Due to the high altitude many cities are built at, Kavesdra is comparatively cold and often uncomfortable to those who haven't lived their for long periods of time. People who have lived their entire lives in Kavesdra tend to be paler than the average person due to large concentrations of ash in the atmosphere. This ash is the result of volcanic activty in the outlying areas of the nation, as well as other more mysterious reasons.

Cerise "Fend for your self!"
The largest nation in the world, Cerise is also the most liberal and diverse. As a democracy it is run by a President, elected by the people, and is often described by it's own officials as being the 'Land of the Free'.While the presidents are voted by the people, most have been unpopular and have used their power to further their own financial and political well-being. The result is disproportionate distribution of wealth, where the aristocrats and officials are quite wealthy, but the nation as a whole is far more poor than Aeda and Kavesdra. Unlike Aeda and Kavesdra, Cerise has a large population of Deviants and tends to be seen as a haven for those who have no place in the other major nations. Because of it's massive size and the far from government system, the further away you the from the Capital of the nation the more lawless it becomes; and the outskirts of the nation are known for housing skirmishes between the Police force and various criminals that call Cerise their home. Cerise is not self sufficient and often relies on buying supplies from Aeda. While not as technologically advanced as Kavesdra, Cerise has developed it's own unique and efficient technological advances. The nation has a tentative peace with Kavesdra, and a treaty with Aeda.
Capital City :
Bastian
Government :
Democracy - In an effort to have a 'fair' system of government, Cerise employs a democracy where the President and the various mayors are all voted into office by the people. Ideally when an official is accused of misconduct they can be voted out of office in a similar way that they were voted in, however this has yet to happen.
Geography :
Cerise has the most diverse geographical landscape of the three nations. Located North northwest of Aeda and south of Kavesdra, the major cities are built on low plains and structures are constructed in such a way that lookouts can see for miles around. There are a fair amount of forests and mountains as well, and a large amount of cities built on the sea.
Military:
Cerise's military is strong, but is largely dedicated to policing it's own towns, only mobilizing as an official military force during times of war. Many youths tend to go into fields of engineering, and so their army is not as large as it could be if Cerise was to institute a mandatory draft like Kavesdra. By far Cerise's greatest military branch is a well trained group of Deviants known as 'Titan'. Titan is considered to be the elite of the elite, and it's members are rumored to be the most powerful warriors in any nation. Due to the inclusion of Deviants, not only in Titan but in the general military as well, Cerise's forces are still powerful enough to deter attacks because of their variety. Guns are less common in Cerise, and more classical weapons are often wielded by low level military.
Tolerance towards Deviants:
Deviants are welcomed into Cerise, and can even hold positions of power if they work hard enough. While the government and public tolerate them, there is still a level of distrust and fear towards known deviants. Despite their tolerance, Officials have been known to take advantage of the low tolerance that other nations have towards Deviants and exploit them for cheap labor. It's not uncommon for deviants to experience severe racism whilst in Cerise's territory, but nowhere as bad as they would experience in Kavesdra. Essentially Deviants can be found in all parts of society, but are often found at the bottom - rumor has it that some deviants are even enslaved in order to preform more strenuous jobs that would be otherwise expensive to do.
Attitude towards Magic
While accepting of magic, due to the high number of Deviants within Cerise schools of sorcery are rare. Unlike in some other nations sorcerers are not looked up to, and instead are considered an oddity. While the practice of sorcery is allowed, it's often frowned upon to be used in public as there is a certain level of jealousy and discontentment some deviants harbor towards sorcerers and their secrets.
Climate, Weather and other Information
The climate of Cerise is as diverse as it's terrain, and weather varies depending on location. In general it is a little warmer than normal, so those from Kavesdra or Aeda may find themselves uncomfortable. Rains are frequent and scattered storms occur at all times of the year. At random times throughout the year, the weather takes a turn for the more violent and storms up in intensity. During these times tornadoes and earth quakes are both common.
Other -
While they have the technology to build airships, they lack the funds to mass produce them. Thus airships are saved purely for military purposes, and people travel from city to city by train, or steambike.

Aeda
"All the world is a laboratory to the inquiring mind"
The smallest of the three nations, Aeda is a neutral island state. Aeda is famous for being a nation of intellectuals, and is a hub for learning possessing schools for engineering, medicine, law and of course Sorcery. Aeda is considered by many to be a utopia due to its beautiful scenery and is often a vacation spot for wealthy aristocrats from every nation. At the core of Aedan society is sorcery, and the nation is governed by a council of it's more powerful sorcerers. While Aeda is not as technologically advanced as it's counter parts many of it's citizens still live in comfort due to various types of applied magic. Aeda's progress in fields such as medicine, physics and various other sciences both applied and theoretical is still unmatched in the world, save for practical engineering (an area which is dominated by Kavesdra). Also, the nation is a hub for arts and culture and it's architecture tends to be more tasteful than that of Kavesdra or Cerise. Aeda currently has treaties with both Kavesdra and Cerise.
Capital City :
Luma
Government :
Oligarchy - Aeda is governed by a council of Sorcerers that each specialize in different branches of magic. This council is responsible for moderating the nation in it's entirety, as well as setting up more specialized councils to aid in governing specific sects of Aeda.
Geography
As an island, Aeda is quite cool due to the ocean breeze moving across the land. True to it's reputation as a utopia, the nation is almost always in a 'Spring' like state, except for deep in the winter when the temperature dips a little. Since most structures developed in Aeda do not disturb natural life anymore than it needs to, luscious forests can be found nearly everywhere on the island, with fresh water springs and waterfalls spread throughout. It is described by it's residents as a paradise.
Military:
As a peaceful nation, Aeda has no large formal military. However, they do have collections of small platoons of trained soldiers that can be mobilized to help protect their nation from attacks from the outside, as well as to deal with potential uprisings within the nation. During times of war, the government can request the assistance of it's various allied magicians in order to combat enemies. Despite having smaller numbers and lacking formal training in war, the variety of ability of magicians give them the ability to combat almost any threat. Due to Aeda being the center of sorcery in the world, the battle magicians that reside and train there are generally more powerful and capable than those used by the armies of Kavesdra and Cerise. Because of the volatile and varied natured of magic, one would be foolish to wage outright war on this island without serious preparation first.
While not a part of it's military, Aeda is home to a powerful group of mercenaries that are famously known for being the most effective 'weapon' against rare dragon sightings. These mercenaries are available to be loaned out to any nation, and in war has no true allegiance; however it is expected that in the event of an assault they will side with Aeda.
Tolerance towards Deviants:
Because of the peaceful nature of it's people, Deviants are 'tolerated' in Aeda. And just that. They are often ignored by people, neither feared or hated, and are allowed to roam the city and do what they wish. While deviants are allowed to hold jobs and hold various mid-level positions, it is extremely rare that Deviants rise anything above 'middle-class' in Aeda. This is because of the governments stance that Deviants are not allowed to learn sorcery, except under the rarest of circumstances, and they go so far as to test potential students for mutations before allowing them to learn. Because of this many younger and ambitious Deviants choose not to live here, unless they can find some other way to learn magic, because of the unlikelihood that they can advance past mid-level. Most deviants who dwell in Aeda tend to be older and more sedentary.
Attitude towards Magic
Obviously Aedan's are reverent of magic. Not much else needs to be said, as most residents of Aedan are generally sorcerers of some sort.
Climate, Weather and other Information
As previously stated, Aeda's climate is near perfect and often suitable for people from both Kavesdra and Cerise to live in with little adjustment. It rains often in Aeda, but generally the rains are light and sparse, and occur during the twilight hours or early morning.
Other - Once again, Aeda is a popular tourist spot and can be reached by boat, commercial airship or bridge (from Kavesdra). There are plenty of museums, orchestra houses and other artistic and cultural attractions in this nation.

Outsiders
"I never felt I belonged. I was always an outsider."
Due to the current state of the world, most people live within established cities in one of the three major territories. However, there are always those who choose to exist outside of society. 'Outsiders' are generally Deviants, human criminals or disgraced sorceries that seek to escape persecution and live a free life. Pirates, mercenaries, professional thieves and other career criminals often choose this lifestyle. Despite this 'freedom' outsiders are rarely welcomed any where but Cerise, and even there they are vulnerable to be attacked by the authorities. Criminals who run away may be hunted by special forces of whatever nation they betrayed. There are dozens of small settlements that serve as 'underground' hubs for less than savory activity.
Living outside of the confines of a major nation is dangerous and there are many hazards that come in the form of bandits, animals and pissed off deviants. It's every man for themselves on the outside.
